Award at the "Atelier" International Theater Festival in Baia Mare

The Iosif Vulcan troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre participated in the 25th edition of the "Atelier" International Theatre Festival in Baia Mare, with the show "FAD (Nods and Plates)", and returned crowned with success.

The "ATELIER" International Theatre Festival is an exploratory theatrical event, which aims to create, through invited performances, an x-ray of the state and dynamics of direction, dramaturgy, scenography, choreography, stage music and the art of the 21st century actor. It is a competitive theatrical event, so that every year a jury selected from among prominent personalities of Romanian theatre awards the following prizes: The Prize for the Best Scenography, the "Gheorghe Dinu" Prize for Scenic Image, the Prize for the Best Performance in Unconventional Spaces, the Prize for the Best Actress, the Prize for the Best Actor, the Special Jury Prizes, the Prize for the Best Director and the Grand Prize for the Best Performance.

The jury, this year composed of theater critic Doru Mareș (president of the jury), Nicolae Weisz, Marius Zarafescu, Sorin Militaru and Mircea M. Ionescu, decided that the award for BEST ACTRESS should go, ex aequo, to actress Ioana Dragoș Gajdo, for the role of Vera, from the show „FAD (Noduri și placii)”. The award consists of a superb painting by the plastic artist Anamaria Nagy.

This is not the first award that Ioana Dragoș Gajdo has won, among other important awards and nominations, in 2001 and 2006 she won the award for best actress, respectively the award for best supporting actress, also at the "Atelier" Festival.

Congratulations to the actress of the Regina Maria Theatre, Ioana Dragoș Gajdo! We wish her many more awards in the future and promising roles, rewarded with thunderous applause. Our congratulations are also due to the entire team of the show for the work done in the realization of this extraordinary project.
