Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival – short retrospective
The 5th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival has ended successfully. A month of stories, in which we, young and old, enjoyed extraordinary theater performances, creative outdoor activities, moments of magic and beautiful encounters between favorite characters and children.
Every time we bring another festival edition to a close, we look back with nostalgia on the days that brought us so much joy. We invite you, therefore, to take a brief look back at the beautiful edition that has just come to an end.
For a month, starting with May 18 and ending with June 10, spectators had the opportunity to watch a music concert and 14 theater performances dedicated to all age groups, from babies to teenagers and adults, 12 of which were invited from prestigious theaters throughout the country, such as Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Arad, Ploiești, Alba Iulia, Timișoara, but also from abroad, represented by Hepp Trupp from Hungary.
The performances were performed in various spaces, some in the conventional theater halls: Arcadia Hall and the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater, and others either on the mobile stage in the Oradea Citadel or in the citadel's amphitheater. This diversity allowed a much larger audience to participate in the events and managed to encompass the entire city in the spell of the theater festival.
Our wonderful audience never ceased to surprise us, with most of the shows playing to full houses, and at Cetate coming in large numbers to the events under the aegis of the festival that took place within Kids Fest Oradea.
Also, as we have already become accustomed to for several editions, for a week, from June 4 to 8, the National Organization of the Scouts of Romania - Oradea, supported a series of CREATIVE WORKSHOPS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, through which it challenged the little adventurers to find lost treasures, paint, learn the art of pottery and enjoy all the activities meant to challenge their creativity, skill, spirit of adventure and courage.
We thank everyone who was with us, from the team that was involved with all their dedication: the organizers: FITO Cultural Foundation, the Arcadia Troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre and the Bihor County Council, volunteers, the technical team, artists, to the sponsors and partners who helped us make this event possible: Oradea City Hall, the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and the Region, the Scouts of Romania, Lions Club, Raiffeisen Bank, Selgros, Hotel Continental, Flavours Confectionery, Talking Toys, Humanitas Bookstores, Casa Florilor, Carrefour Oradea Era, Covrigei Sasesti, biletmaster.ro, Impress Media and to the media partners: Crișana, Jurnalul Bihorean, News Bihor, Bihoreanul, UZP Bihor, Magic FM, Zile și Nopți, Evenimente Oradea, Ghid Local, Bihorștiri.ro, Aleșd Online, Info Oradea, Radio Transilvania, Ghid Local, Party Oradea, which broke out in the country and invited the audience to the festival.
Arcadia Children's Theater Festival was co-financed by The Administration of the National Cultural Fund, public institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture, which provides non-reimbursable funding every year to institutions carrying out cultural activities.
But we look to the future with enthusiasm and start over, with fresh strength. We have already set to work and started to invent new wonderful projects.
See you again next season!
