British author Nicola Wilson – discussion with the audience at the Regina Maria Theatre
British writer Nicola Wilson responded positively to the invitation launched by the Regina Maria Theatre to watch the show FAD (Noduri și placii), whose text she co-authored, and to participate in an open discussion with the Oradea audience. Along with Ms. Wilson, the director Horia Suru was present at the discussion, along with the actors from the cast.
The meeting took place immediately after the performance on April 11 and was a real success. The audience honored us in large numbers with their presence and actively participated in the discussion, asking questions to both the author and the actors. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the dialogue had a cordial and informal side. The author spoke about theater, about how it later influenced her career as a playwright and the motivations for writing the text "Noduri și Plăci". She expressed her feelings of admiration for the actors due to their performance, appreciating the fact that they discovered valences that for her were new, and she appreciated both the artistic vision of Horia Suru, the director of the performance, and the choreography and music.
As an interpreter, Ms. Dana Sala, associate professor, PhD, at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Oradea, was invited.
This type of meeting is part of a program that was initiated with the show "The Key", under the stage direction of Victor Ioan Frunză, at the premiere of which the author of the text, András Forgách, participated, and the next event of this nature took place at the premiere of the show "Cabaretul Dada", directed by Ancă Bradu, to which the renowned Romanian playwright Matei Vișniec was invited.
Our goal is to continue this project that encourages both the meeting between playwrights, the creative team and the actors who are part of the cast, as well as strengthening the relationship between actors and spectators, therefore, this event was one of many to come.
