The Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to announce the premiere of the show „"In the Heart of the Night – The Macbeth Episode"”, screenplay based on William Shakespeare by Gavriil Pinte, with inserts from George Banu and Monique Borie, directed by Gavriil Pinte, which concludes the trilogy „"In the Heart of the Night"”, after the "Hamlet Episode" and the "Lear Episode".

The people of Oradea are invited to preview of the show Tuesday, April 24 and at premiere Thursday, May 3, from 9:00 PM, at the Mobile Stage located in the Oradea Citadel. The official premiere will take place during the International Shakespeare Festival, which this year reached its 11th edition, thus crowning a tradition that began in 2016 with "The Lear Episode."„

Gabriel Pinte is on its fourth collaboration with the Regina Maria Theatre, after the show „"Those who don't forget..."” (2013), "„In the Heart of the Night – Episode Hamlet” (2014) and "„In the Heart of the Night – Lear Episode” (2016).

„"In the Heart of the Night – The Macbeth Episode"” is the third show that is part of the larger project entitled "In the Heart of the Night", preserving several essential criteria that give unity and continuity to the project: the show is played on a mobile stage, starts from a Shakespearean text, but exploits new horizons, in a contemporary manner, which relies more on movement and the symbolic imaginary. Also, the script is interspersed with elements of analysis, spoken mainly by a key character, the critical voice that detaches itself in some moments of the story and subjects it to a behavioral and theatrical interpretation, played in all three episodes by actress Mirela Lupu - another point of contingency.

Thus, only the essential lines from the Shakespearean text have been preserved. The missing text is replaced with physical actions that the play assumes or allows to be imagined. The connections between some sequences, as well as the analysis of some important elements for this project belong to George Banu and Monique Borie.

The play follows the fate of two people, Mr. Macbeth (Șerban Borda) and Mrs. Macbeth (Angela Tanko), set on a never-ending path of self-destruction. The projections of these souls tormented by guilty aspirations take on fabulous forms, so that the witches in Shakespeare's text are seen as vehicles of older hidden aspirations, substitutes for obsessively returning desires.

The set design is once again signed by the talented Roxana Ionescu, who won the award for Best Director in 2014. best scenography at the Short Theatre Festival for the show "In the Heart of the Night-Hamlet Episode" and in 2016 the award for best scenography at the ATELIER International Theatre Festival, Baia Mare, for the show "In the Heart of the Night-The Lear Episode". The cast includes actors: Șerban Borda (Lord Macbeth), Angela Tanko (Lady Macbeth), George Voinese (King), Răzvan Vicoveanu (Banquo), Ciprian Ciuciu (Macduff), Sebastian Lupu (Porter), Mirela Lupu (Doctor), George Dometi (Chief Wizard), Georgia Căprărin (Witch), Adela Lazar (Witch), Anca Sigmirean (Witch) and Anda Tămășanu (Witch).
