British writerNicola Wilson, the author of the play Noduri și Plăci, comes to Oradea on Wednesday, April 11, to watch the third performance of the FAD show, directed by Horia Suru, based on the aforementioned text. The Oradea public who will be present at the viewing is invited to meet the writer, immediately after the show, during an open conference in which a number of cultural personalities will participate.

Thus, on Wednesday, April 11, starting at 9:15 p.m., in the foyer of the Regina Maria Theater, writer Nicola Wilson and director Horia Suru will answer a series of questions about the text, about the performance, and about the choice to stage this play, in its national premiere, in Oradea. A number of personalities from Oradea and beyond are invited to the event, including writers, university professors, literary critics, and theater columnists. Students of the Faculty of Letters at the University of Oradea will also be present and will have the chance to meet the British author in person. Last but not least, spectators who want to share their impressions or have questions about the performance are invited to join the writer and director immediately after the performance.

Nicola Wilson is a contemporary writer who creates short texts for theatre, radio and television. She contributed to the development of scripts for series while studying at the BBC Writers' Academy until 2009, then went on to write for the series Holby City, Eastenders and Casualty. Before dedicating herself to literary creation, she held the position of artistic director at the Bush Theatre in London. The play Noduri și placii is her first full-length text and was staged for the first time at The Royal Court Theatre in London in the autumn of 2015. In Romania, it is the first time that a text written by Nicola Wilson has been staged, and the play Noduri și placii was translated from English by Ionuț Grama especially for the Regina Maria Theatre project. The play deals with the subject of familial Alzheimer's disease, emphasizing the human capacity to escape from dramatic situations through humor, self-irony and optimism. The performance by the Iosif Vulcan troupe illustrates, in a captivating manner, moments from Vera's life, who is at different stages of her mentality and at different ages. The vivacity of the family atmosphere fades when she decides to reveal to her husband and children that she already has the first symptoms of this disease, but only for a moment. The original title was replaced by the acronym "FAD", which stands for Familial Alzheimer's Disease and refers to a subcategory of Alzheimer's disease characterized by early onset and by the fact that the gene is transmitted hereditary. The name "Noduri și placii", kept as a subtitle, however, has the same edifying importance for the text, since noduli și placii are considered the main triggering factors of Alzheimer's disease.

Journalists who cannot be present at the Wednesday evening event are invited on Thursday, April 12, from 11:00 a.m., to the press conference that will take place in the lodge foyer, in the presence of Nicole Wilson.
