DIPLOMA AT THE TĀNDĀRICĂ FESTIVAL
For 12 days, the ȚĂNDĂRICĂ Theater put on its festive attire and welcomed its audience with over 70 events dedicated to children, youth and adults, transforming the Romanian capital into an international capital of animation theater.
Between November 7 and 18, over 9,000 spectators crossed the threshold of the longest-running puppet and marionette theater in Romania, which has reached 70 years of age, to take part in the events of the International Festival of Contemporary Animation Theater “ImPuls”. Shows were performed by state-subsidized theater troupes as well as independent troupes from Timișoara, Oradea, Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș, Galați, Iași, Baia Mare, Brașov, Craiova and Bucharest, but also from abroad (China, Bulgaria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Poland). There were workshops, conferences, dialogues and theatrical discussions, book launches, the awarding of awards for excellence in Romanian animation, as well as an anniversary event: “Țăndărică 70 de ani”. Also, throughout the festival, at the Lahovari headquarters, puppets carefully selected from a 70-year history of the theater were presented as part of the exhibition "Tăndărică's Journey".
An important component of this festival was the IDEEA debates, dialogues and conferences, held by professionals in the field, critics and prominent personalities worldwide (including professor and theater critic Octavian Saiu, international festival producer Christian Caimacan, etc.), who spoke about animation theater from the past but also about contemporary visual theater.
Being an anniversary year, within this edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Animation Theatre "ImPuls", several prizes and diplomas were awarded by the jury formed by: Shu-ming Ju, Irina Ionescu, Marius Zarafescu, Cristina Rusiecki, Daria Dimiu, Maria Mierluț and Raluca Tulbure, having the well-known theatre critic Ion Parhon as honorary president and Mihai Gruia Sandu as president.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
