SEASON END IN FESTIVAL STEPS
The Regina Maria Theatre has reached the end of its season, after a year full of extraordinary performances and participation in prestigious festivals in the country and abroad. The end of June brings with it a well-deserved vacation, but not before adding two more festivals to the Iosif Vulcan Troupe's list of successes: THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL "MITURILE CETĂŢII" in Constanţa and the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL ATELIER in Baia Mare.
THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL "MYTHS OF THE FORTRESS", organized by the Constanta State Theatre, is in its first edition this year, but renews the tradition Ancient Theater Evenings from the 70s. The Regina Maria Theater had the honor of being invited to this important theatrical event with the show "LEONCE AND LENA", which was performed on Tuesday, June 21, at 9:30 PM, on the mobile stage, located in Ovidiu Square. Dynamic and enchanting, the musical comedy conquered the Constanta audience and tourists from all over the country. Approximately 400 spectators gathered, who applauded and constantly asked for encores.
Immediately after returning from Craiova, we headed to Baia Mare, to honor the invitation to perform the show. IN THE HEART OF THE NIGHT – THE LEAR EPISODE within the framework of the oldest international theatre festival in Romania: the Atelier Festival, which is in its 23rd edition. This time too, the show was performed behind closed doors, and the Libertății Square in the historical centre of Baia Mare was filled with spectators, who equally accepted the invitation to become part of the story of King Lear. The applause and general appreciation were in keeping with the talent of those who serve the Stage with such dedication.
The Oradea public is expected on July 1, at the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater, to watch the show THE WITCHERS OF SALEM, by Arthur Miller - directed by Diana Păcurar, organized by UNATC IL Caragiale in partnership with the Regina Maria Theater.
