THE ARCADIA CHILDREN'S THEATRE FESTIVAL HAS COME TO AN END

The ARCADIA CHILDREN'S THEATRE FESTIVAL has come to an end after a month of extraordinary performances and activities. Spectators braved the two great winds of the weather: the threatening storm and the scorching heat, and came in large numbers to each scheduled event.

A number of approximately 1,500 spectators crossed the threshold of the theater for the weekend performances, and around 3,000 spectators and participants were present in the Oradea Citadel. The two invited festivals, OGLINDIREA SUFLETULUI ÎN LITERATURĂ and FLOARE DE LOTUS, were not left behind and gathered over 300 spectators. The performances for babies were all performed behind closed doors, the dwarfs thus entering the magical universe of the theater with great curiosity and courage.

The 12 workshops held by the Romanian Scouts were a huge success, totaling about 300 participants, children of all ages, who painted, searched for treasures, ventured into the mysteries of mountaineering, created kites, delved into the secrets of pottery, quilling and built three-dimensional objects out of paper using the origami technique.

The opening of PUPPET THEATRE POSTERS, created by the talented Trifán László, made it possible to meet 50 admirers, including guests from other cities, and the CAROUSEL PERFORMANCE workshop, supported by the Ion Creangă Theater in Bucharest, brought together a group of 18 artists of all ages, eager to explore their talent even further.

The festival director, Florian Silaghi, would like to thank the management of the Regina Maria Theatre, the partners, the project implementation team, the technical team and all the guests and participants. Last but not least, a deep reverence deserves the hardworking elves of the festival: the 25 volunteers from the Romanian Scouts, 10 volunteers from the Children's Palace and 10 from the Regina Maria Theatre, who were dedicatedly involved in each event.

The Arcadia Children's Festival in the Citadel of Oradea is a cultural project organized by the Oradea International Theatre Festival Cultural Foundation, financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund, co-financed by the Regina Maria Theatre and the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and the Region and carried out in partnership with the Oradea City Hall and the National Organization of the Scouts of Romania - Oradea Local Center.

The 3rd edition of the ARCADIA CHILDREN'S THEATRE FESTIVAL was therefore a real success, managing to achieve all the objectives it set itself: a large number of invited performances, which totaled 19 performances from 10 theaters in the country and 5 independent troupes, creative and dynamic activities, concerts for all tastes and the development of the participatory dimension of the audience. However, the greatest objective achieved by the festival is the joy with which spectators of all ages, from babies to adults who still keep a piece of their childhood in their souls, received each event. We hope to see you again with the same enthusiasm at the next edition!
