FESTIVALS IN WHICH THE ARCADIA BAND PARTICIPATED IN MAY 2016
The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre participated in three prestigious children's festivals in Romania in May. The first invitation came from the Marionette Troupe of the Ioan Slavici Classical Theatre in Arad, which organized this year the 17th edition of the International Animation Art Festival - Euromarionette, where the Oradea troupe participated, on Friday, May 13, with the show "RUSSIAN FOLK TALES".
After they returned from Arad, they had barely unpacked before they were immediately lured into another fantastic journey, this time to Galaţi, where they performed the show ONE THOUSAND AND ONE BORDERS (THE STORY OF ALADDIN) at the Gulliver International Animation Festival on Saturday, May 21.
The Arcadia Troupe's odyssey ended in May with their participation in the second edition of the International Children's Theater Festival "ARLECHINO 66 - Caravan of Tales", organized by the Arlechino Braşov Children's Theater, where on Tuesday, May 31, they delighted the souls of story-loving children with the enchanting fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast".
However, even though they toured the country, the actors of the Arcadia Troupe did not forget about the children of Oradea, so they continued their educational approach through schools and this time challenged the students of Don Orione High School to a unique reading of the writings of the great playwright IL Caragiale, through the reading-performance "Moments and Sketches" - which was attended by approximately 900 students.
