The Regina Maria Theatre invites you on Wednesday, April 13, from 7:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall, to enjoy the first premiere scheduled for the month of April, based on a contemporary Russian text – DAWN-WAY (by Oleg Bogaev, directed by Ștefan Iordănescu). The next performance was scheduled for April 16, also from 7:00 PM at the Arcadia Hall.

Author of over 30 pieces, Oleg Bogaev, born June 15, 1970, is a playwright who is part of the current called "New Dramaturgy" in Russian. He has been described by theater critic John Freedman as "one of the best students who graduated from Nikolai Kolyada's dramaturgy course at the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute." He is currently an employee of this institution. He is also the editor of the literary magazine URAL, a position he took over from his mentor Nikolai Kolyada in 2010.

His most famous play is THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL MAIL, awarded with numerous awards and staged in theaters around the world. Also, the play DAWN-WAY was well received by the theater world and the public, being staged in Romania at the "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theater in Iași, at the "Aureliu Manea" Theater in Turda and at the "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater in Timișoara, enjoying important directorial signatures and appreciations.

Piece Oleg Bogaev's is based on a powerful oxymoron – light and darkness. "There are two paths that man can follow on earth: spiritual ascension or moral degradation." The people in the scenes imagined by the Russian playwright are harsh, sarcastic, not shy about showing their moral problems – a portrait of contemporary man, one might say – who asks himself questions, but neither offers nor seeks answers.

show It makes each of us wonder how we would react if we were put in a situation where we had to commit a not-so-dignified act and how moral and fair we can still be today, regardless of social status and age.

The cast includes actors: Denisa Vlad, Răzvan Vicoveanu, Petre Ghimbășan, Ion Ruscuț, Pavel Sîrghi, Andrian Locovei, Daniel Vulcu, Mihaela Gherdan, Adela Lazar, Tiberiu Covaci, Anca Sigmirean, Lucia Rogoz, Eugen Neag, Corina Cernea, Gabriela Codrea, Elvira Platon Rîmbu and Andrei Sabău. The artistic team is completed by: Stefan Iordănescu (director in his first collaboration with the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea), set designer Dorothea Iordănescu, Ildiko Fogarassy (music), the group Light Motif (video projections) and Lucian Moga, already a well-known collaborator of our Theater, who took care of the light design.
