The Iosif Vulcan troupe invites the people of Oradea to the first production of 2020, the show I Never Thought I Would Learn to Die, which will take place on Wednesday, January 15, at 6:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall. The poetry, music and dance show dedicated to Mihai Eminescu is coordinated by actor and director Emil Sauciuc.

„"Mihai Eminescu, the brilliant poet, prose writer, playwright, essayist, journalist, political pamphleteer, and Romanian language educator, died at the age of 39, almost before he was really born. Let me explain: if he had lived 80 or 100 years, in good health, he would probably have eclipsed all the world's writers through his qualities of profound genius and culture, and in the year 2000 he would have been elected the number 1 personality of the millennium, not Shakespeare," says the show's director, Emil Sauciuc. The show is one of poetry, music, and dance, all of which are the broken down expression of the great poet's personality, intellect, and soul. In the center of the stage, in the background, is the painting of the unmatched poet. The characters are dressed in white or cream-white, and express the purity of the artist's heart. The lyrics represent his ideas and feelings, the dance is the movement of his inner world, and the music is the sound of his soul. On stage there is also a symbolic altar made of flowers and fire that symbolizes the eternal love that he bears to us and that we bear to Eminescu. There is also a white bench, a meeting place in creation, as well as three white cubes on which the actors rest from time to time. Near the background there are also two white trees, as if covered in snow and pure thoughts. The show lasts 50 minutes, during which we hope to carry you to virgin lands and spiritual spheres, full of charm and freshness, stimulated by memories that come from the future and go towards the past, passing through the present, that is, through us, artists and spectators, dear descendants of great loves and of the brilliant poet in the making: Mihai Eminescu. The cast includes the actors: Maria Teișanu, David Constantinescu, Miruna Lazar, Emil Sauciuc, Ioana Moldovan. The set design is by Amalia Buie, and the music is by Sorin Domide.
