INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS THEATRE FESTIVAL IN ORADEA!
In Oradea, between May 25-29, 2015, the third edition of the International Circus Theater Festival will take place!
„"The stage circus or circus-theater is a type of show that has old traditions in Italy, France or Spain, having roots in the commedia dell'arte and developing mainly around clown families such as Colombaioni, Zavatta, Fratelinni etc... In recent years, many shows have appeared with circus elements and that are very close to theater, in the relationship of the actors with the objects, with the scenery, changing the grotesque game of the traditional clown, with a realistic type of expression, close to the manner of current theater. Often, highly theatrical elements such as dolls, marionettes, or sets with symbolic valences are used.
There is a loyal theater audience, but the festival must also target the new audience, the one who is not yet used to coming to the theater. Given the exceptional style of the performances, we hope that a number of spectators from the surrounding cities will also be present at these performances.
Being a type of show that appeals to all ages, we hope to have the entire family in the theater, from grandchild to grandfather, so we can say that an important target for the festival is even family.” (Radu Dinulescu, artistic director of the International Circus Theatre Festival)
