On Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Arcadia Hall, the first activity within the project took place. THEATRE AND PLAY # TOGETHER/EGYPT, an artistic and educational initiative that aims to bring children from the Romanian and Hungarian communities in Oradea closer together, through theater and collaborative games.

The opening event was marked by a very special show: RED RIDING, a bilingual performance produced in collaboration with Arcadia Crew of the Queen Maria Theatre and The Lilliput Band of the Szigligeti Theatre. Starting from the performances already existing in the repertoire of the two companies, this new artistic form was conceived as a celebration of friendship, diversity and the stories that unite us.

The show was welcomed with joy by an enthusiastic audience, gathered in large numbers at the Arcadia Hall to celebrate International Puppetry Day, but also two important anniversaries: 70 years of puppet theater in the Vulturul Negru Passage and 75 years since the establishment of the professional puppet theater in Oradea.

The THEATRE AND PLAY #ÎMPREUNĂ/EGYÜTT project is built around the idea of collaboration and harmonious coexistence, using art as a common language. Throughout 2025, cultural activities dedicated to children from both communities will take place, in which theater and play will be tools for rapprochement and learning.

The next activity will take place on Children's Day, and will bring together Romanian and Hungarian children in a play session guided by actors Arcadia Band and you The Lilliput Band. Activities will include games selected from the collection. „"In front of the apartment building"”, as well as board games designed to encourage cooperation, communication and fun together.

Under the umbrella of this project, #ÎMPREUNĂ/EGYÜTT becomes more than a hashtag – it is a vision of how we can build bridges between generations, languages and cultures, through art, play and stories that bring us closer.
