The Regina Maria Theater announces the eighth premiere of the "Iosif Vulcan" troupe: the show THE RITUAL MURDER OF GORGE MASTROMAS, in national premiere, scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall - with the audience on stage.

Director Bobi Pricop is known to the Oradea audience, having been present at the last 3 editions of the Short Theatre Festival, where he was rewarded with numerous awards ("Games in the Backyard" - Act Theatre - 2012, "Against Progress" - Bulandra Theatre - 2013 and "Professor of Religion" - National Theatre in Craiova - 2014). Both he and the show's set designer, Irina Moscu, are collaborating for the first time with the Regina Maria Theatre in Oradea. The show also benefits from the presence of Alex

Szűz, who will provide live musical illustration.

The cast of the show includes the following actors: Ioana Dragoș Gajdo, Mihaela Gherdan, Richard Balint, Pavel Sîrghi, Sorin Ionescu, Eugen Neag and Alin Stanciu.

The ticket price is 30 lei – a single price. 80 seats for the public have been put on sale. There are approximately 15 tickets left for the performance on March 1, and the next performance will take place on Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m. at the Great Hall (with the audience on stage).

Tickets can be purchased from the theater agency, open Monday through Friday between 10:00 and 19:00 and Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 and 13:00 or one hour before the show. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.biletmaster.ro.

In a harsh and ruthless capitalist system, in which wealth and power are at a high price, and greed is elevated to a value and rewarded, the idea that kindness could actually be cowardice begins to emerge more and more clearly. Born in 1970, Dennis Kelly is an important English playwright and screenwriter, known for his fruitful collaboration on the musical "Matilda" (awarded with 4 TONY Awards in 2013), but also for a series of provocative plays, which generated a lot of interest not only in his native country, but also in the world. His first play, "Debris" (2003), began with the terrifying scene of a father crucifying himself in his own home; in "Osama The Hero" (2004-2005) he illustrated how a climate of terror can transform those around him into torturers; in "The Gods Weep" (2010) he casts King Lear in the role of an unscrupulous boss of a multinational. The play "The Ritual Murder of Gorge Mastromas" (his first name is pronounced George, no) was written in 2013 and premiered the same year at the Royal Court Theatre in London, directed by Vicky Featherstone.
