PRESS RELEASE | Premiere of "The Bremen Town Musicians"
The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre is preparing for the premiere of the show "The Bremen Town Musicians", an adaptation of the Brothers Grimm, directed by Ciprian Huțanu. The premiere will take place on Sunday, October 8, at 11:00 AM, at the Arcadia Hall.
Ciprian Huțanu is the founder of the animation theater, puppet theater and experimental theater company Synchret, actor, animation theater director and University Professor Doctor at the "George Enescu" University of Arts in Iași, Faculty of Theater, disciplines: The art of puppet and marionette handling; Stage language in animation theater; Directing in animation theater. For the Oradea theater troupe's performance, he directs, adapts, and dramatizes the text. He keeps the classic storyline, but gives it a contemporary setting, by placing the action in the present, creating modern-day characters, and using technology in the performance.
The central theme remains that of the strong friendship that forms between four very different beings – a donkey, a dog, a rooster, a cat – after they are wronged by their owners simply because they have grown old and are no longer as productive as they once were. But the show is also sprinkled with ironic and moralizing comments on our society.
The music is specially composed by the award-winning pianist and composer Cári Tibor, the set design is by the talented Oana Cernea, and the director's trusted assistant throughout the rehearsals was actress Armanca Serac.
The cast includes the following actors: Iulia Dinescu, Alexandru Pop, Florian Silaghi, Consuela Egyed, Igor Lungu and Andrei Fazecaș.
All seats for the premiere on October 8 have already been taken, but young and old spectators are also expected on Sunday, October 22, from 11:00, at the Arcadia Hall for "The Bremen Town Musicians". Tickets can be purchased either from the theater agency (open Tuesday and Thursday between 12:00-18:00, Wednesday and Friday between 10:00-14:00, Saturday between 11:00-13:00 or one hour before the performances at the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater) and online at Eventim.ro.

This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
