„"PROFU` DE DRANCEZĂ" – the second premiere of the 2017 – 2018 season of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe

The Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to announce the second premiere of this season by the Iosif Vulcan Troupe: "French Teacher", adaptation by Matei Mircioane after Tudor Mușatescu, artistic direction and scenography by Dan Mirea, an organized show that will take place on Thursday, October 19, from 12:00, at the Great Hall of the Theatre.

The author of the play "Profu` de franceză", Tudor Mușatescu, a graduate of both the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy and the Faculty of Law, was a multi-talented writer. He focused primarily on dramatic works, and critics defined him as a follower of the Caragiale comedy of morals.

Director Dan Mirea is not at the first meeting with the Oradea troupe, having staged one of the most famous and beloved children's stories, "The Wizard of Oz", in 2010. He returns after seven years with a show that this time addresses teenagers. The text "The French Teacher", written by Tudor Mușatescu in 1948, acquires a contemporary character through the adaptation made by Matei Mircioane and through Dan Mirea's directorial vision. Adolescent loves, the charm of immaturity, the entertainment specific to high school years and the students' collective passion for the new teacher tall, dark-haired, with brown eyes and who speaks with an "r"„ are reformulated in terms specific to contemporary adolescent thinking, starting from clothing, technology, music, to behavior and social relationships.

The action is triggered by the arrival of the French teacher, with the twelfth grade students becoming more concerned with capturing his attention than with the baccalaureate exam. This turn of events gives rise to conflicting situations, for the smoothing of which it is necessary to intervene even the headmistress, whose interest is also directed towards the young teacher.

The naivety from which misunderstandings erupt creates the comic situation, giving rise to an original, cheerful and lively show.

The artistic team is made up of enthusiastic and talented actors: Georgia Căprărin (Antonia Panait), Anca Sigmirean (Tania Popescu), Denisa Vlad (Anca), Sorin Ionescu (Profu'), Corina Cernea (Cosâmbăcescu), Alexandru Rusu (Gigi), Alin Stanciu (Anibal), Eugen Neag (Cherubim), Anda Tămășanu (Iunona).

The premiere of the show "French Teacher" is organized for Oradea students, but we are waiting for the public on December 2, from 11:00, at the Great Hall to enjoy the show.

Tickets are on sale at the Theatre Ticket Agency from Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before the show or online at www.biletmaster.roFor additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0259/440.742.

We are waiting for you at the theater!
