The Arcadia band returned from Brazil
Between October 4 and 14, the Arcadia Troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre participated with the show "Gulliver" at two festivals in Brazil: the 15th edition of the INTERCÂMBIO DE LINGUAGENS International Festival, which took place in Rio de Janeiro, and the 29th edition of the BONECOS DE CANELA International Theatre Festival.
The visual and non-verbal spectacle "Gulliver" was an extraordinary success in both artistic manifestations, and the spectators were able to enjoy, without being limited by language barriers, the experience of a unique theatrical project made by combining the classic puppet animation theater with stereoscopic 3D projections. Two performances were held in each of the two cities: in Rio de Janeiro on October 7 and 8, and in Canela on October 13 and 14, the show having a total of over 700 spectators, who rewarded the Oradea actors with thunderous applause and sincere appreciation. The International Puppet Theater Festival of Canela is part of the local tradition of the city of the same name, and the entire cultural community is involved in its organization. The welcoming atmosphere of this space was doubled by the reaction of the audience who was deeply impressed by the initiative of the artist Armand Richelet Kleinberg to create a 3D presentation video with the festival logos, which he played before the start of the "Gulliver" show. The participation of the Oradea band in these cultural events organized on the South American continent opens an intercultural dialogue that we hope will materialize in as many similar events as possible.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
