QUEEN MARIA THEATRE AT THE INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL "MYTHS OF THE FORTRESS" IN CONSTANTA
The 2016-2017 season has officially ended at the Regina Maria Theater, but even though we let the curtain fall to take a short vacation, our actors traveled to mythical realms to offer a wonderful theatrical gift to the Constanta audience.
The Regina Maria Theater was invited to the 2nd edition of the "Myths of the Fortress" International Theater Festival in Constanța, which took place from June 19 to 27, in which it participated with two shows: "Gulliver" adapted from Jonathan Swift, artistic direction by Radu Dinulescu, performed by the Arcadia Troupe, and "The Man of La Mancha", a musical by Dale Wasserman, artistic direction by Korcsmaros Gyorgy, performed by the Iosif Vulcan Troupe. Both shows were performed on June 23, being rewarded with thunderous applause and much enthusiasm.
We are honored to have participated this year at the Constanta theater festival, the only artistic event in Romania dedicated to ancient theater, and we hope to meet again year after year at the seaside to let ourselves be captivated by the spell of theater and to enter the universe of myths.
Our journey does not end here, however, and before we really go on vacation, we make one more stop in Gyula, where we will participate on July 13 with the show "In the Heart of the Night - Episode Lear" at the 13th edition of the Shakespeare Festival, organized by the Citadel Theater.
We'll see you again in the fall, Oradea! Have a wonderful and relaxing summer!
