THE ARCADIA CHILDREN'S THEATRE FESTIVAL CONTINUES WITH EVEN MORE SURPRISES
The Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival continues with two more weeks of storytelling. The holidays for the little ones have arrived, and for the older ones, it is knocking temptingly on the window. Now is the time to enjoy even more GAMES and PLAY, so we invite you to enter the playful universe of theatre and let yourself be enchanted by the power of fantasy and adventure.
The days of June 24 and 25 are dedicated to the enchanted letters of the Romanian fairy tale, which guided our childhood steps towards reverie and enriched our imagination. Thus, Saturday, June 24, from 11:00, at Arcadia Hall, the skilled storytellers from the "Marionette" Troupe of the "Ioan Slavici" Classical Theatre in Arad will bring to life with great humor the incredible story of a quick-witted little pig, who manages to marry a princess: "The Story of the Pig!", screenplay by Cristian Mitescu based on the story by Ion Creangă, target audience age: from 3 years old.
Sunday, June 25, from 11:00, at Arcadia Hall, From the quiver of stories of the actors at the "Ciufulici" Children's Theatre in Ploiești, the enchanting Romanian fairy tale emerges cheerfully, coming to life on the theatre stage. "The old woman's daughter and the old man's daughter", adaptation by Daniel Stanciu after the fairy tale by Ion Creangă. A show that harmoniously combines modern comedy with the charm of the Moldovan dialect, recommended for children over 5 years old and all those who have kept their childhood buried in their souls.
Our story has not come to an end, however. We are ready for even more adventures. In the last week of the festival, the Scouts of Romania challenge the little explorers to find lost treasures, conquer unknown territories with the help of a map and compass, tie knots, paint and enjoy all the scouting activities that they will support between June 26 and 30 in the Oradea Citadel, and the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theater will magically transform on July 1 and 2 into an enchanted land through the performances: "Cinderella" by the Arcadia Troupe and "The 12th Night" by William Shakespeare, staged by the actors of the "Ion Creangă" Theater in Bucharest.
We thank everyone who has been with us so far, from the organizers, sponsors, media partners, to the invited bands and spectators. We look forward to seeing you at all the events that will take place during the festival!
