REGISTRATION STARTS FOR THE 24TH EDITION OF FTS ORADEA

The "Regina Maria" Theater in Oradea announces the start of registrations for the 24th edition of the Short Theater Festival. The event, unique in the Romanian theatrical landscape, will take place between September 23 and 30, 2018.

Registration begins on March 29 and will last until June 1, 2018. The shows selected to participate in the competition section will be announced by July 1, 2018.

The main criteria for registration are the following: the performances must fit within the specifics of the Short Theatre Festival (maximum 90 minutes without intermission) and must have premiered after June 1, 2017.

The festival also proposes a dramatic creation contest, launched in partnership with the Cultural Magazine "Familia", which has as its fundamental objective the encouragement of original Romanian dramaturgy, especially short theater. Those interested in dramatic creation can send works to the Regina Maria Theater address until July 1, 2018 (postage date).

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
