On the occasion World Puppet Theatre Day, which is celebrated every year on March 21, the Arcadia Troupe of the Regina Maria Theater organized the 3rd edition of the "My Puppet Theater" Competition, which took place on Sunday, March 18, from 5:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall.

As always, the children were invited to give free rein to their imagination and present an artistic moment on stage in which the protagonists were the puppets they created themselves. The young theater lovers responded positively to the challenge of being creators for a day and surprised the jury and the audience with the mastery with which they presented their puppets.

In total, 39 brave children registered for the competition, who either presented their artistic moments individually (Karina Koteles, Matei Cezar Rad, Olar Sara Elena, Ciuta Iulia, Clonda Patricia, Dumitreanu Arina), or appeared on stage with other daring colleagues, as part of a band. 

The news of the invitation launched by the Arcadia Band reached the ears of young creators from the entire county, thus, of the five participating bands, only two were formed by Oradea residents: APPRENTICE band. (Palace of Children and Students Oradea, coordinator: Prof. Otilia Bejan) and The Romanians Band (School Center for Inclusive Education "Orizont", coordinators: Prof. Cărădan Adina, Prof. Canalaș Liliana and Prof. Marușca Angela), the other three coming from beyond the city borders: The Outgrowth Band (Secondary School no. 1, Cuzap, coordinator: Prof. Petrila Nicoleta), Step Tinca Band („Nicolae Jiga” Theoretical High School, Tinca, coordinators: Prof. Popa Minodora and Prof. Orban Iuliu), The band Á la Cadea (Technological High School no. 1, Cadea, coordinator: Prof. Ioana Molnar).

What 12 artistic moments created by the participants formed a successful theatrical event, to the delight of the spectators and especially the jury, and the children, while waiting for the awards, enjoyed freely coloring the Arcadia Troupe logo.

After the awards ceremony, both participants and their supporters were invited to taste the sweets prepared especially for them.

Out of a desire to encourage creativity and a love of reading, each participant received as a gift materials that can be used to make dolls and two books: "Pinocchio", whose name also bears the name of the next premiere of the Arcadia Troupe, and "I Forgot What It's Called: Texts for Children, Parents, Grandparents", by Daniil Harms, offered by the RetR Bookstore.
