AWARDS OF THE XXII EDITION OF THE ORADEA SHORT THEATRE FESTIVAL

The 22nd edition of the Oradea Short Theatre Festival, which took place between September 25 and October 1, 2016, came to an end after a week of theatrical marathon in which we were delighted with extraordinary performances. The jury of this year's Short Theatre Festival, consisting of Mircea Morariu – theater critic – president of the jury, Ion Parhon – theater critic and Alexa Visarion – director and screenwriter – decided to award the following prizes:

The Regina Maria Theatre announces the premiere of the show "Deșteptarea", a contemporary text by Doru Vatavlui, directed by Bobi Pricop, which will take place on January 17 and 18, 2026, from 7:00 PM, in the theatre's Great Hall. On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
