LAST DAYS OF FITO 2016

The 2016 edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival is almost over. There are two more days in which Oradea residents can enjoy the most beautiful theatre evenings of the season.

On the last day of September we invite you to enjoy six special performances. The theater day starts at 5:00 PM, at Arcadia Hall, with captivating monodrama: „"I am Ophelia", by Gertrud Fussenegger, directed by Sorin Militaru, a production of the "George Bacovia" Municipal Theater in Bacău, which is being performed within the Competition section of the festival.

From 7:00 p.m., at the Great Hall, you are invited to an intelligent comedy, which will make you laugh for minutes without stopping, signed by stage director Victor Ioan Frunză and set designer Adriana Grand: „"Twelfth Night", from the Metropolis Theatre in Bucharest. Also from 7:00 p.m., at the Studio Szigligeti Hall, the Hungarian Theatre in Oradea invites you to „"The Case", a show dedicated to young people at the beginning of their careers, but who have already distinguished themselves through their artistic activities.

From 7:30 p.m., the second show of the Short Theatre Festival competition will take place: “Blue.Yellow.Red”" a show by Radu Macrinici, produced at the Baia Mare Municipal Theater.

From 8:00 PM, at the National Center for Tourism Information and Promotion Bihor, The Pygmalion Theater from Vienna stops for a few hours on the Oradea stage with an exceptional show: “The legend of the drunkard saint”", by Josef Roth, directed by Geirun Tino.

Day of September 30 will also end with the Regina Maria Theatre's performance in competition: "“In the Heart of the Night – Lear Episode”", a script by Gavriil Pinte, with inserts by George Banu and Monique Borie, directed by Gavriil Pinte. Oradea residents are expected from 9:00 PM, at Scena Mobilă – Piaţa Unirii, to support Oradea actors in the race for the Short Theatre Festival awards.

The first day of October announces the end of the Oradea International Theatre Festival, 2016 edition. However, the last day of the festival is just as rich in events. From 5:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall, the Cluj-Napoca National Theatre invites you to „"Agamemnon"” after Rodrigo Garcia, directed by Andrei Măjeri, and from 7:00 PM, at the Trade Unions' Culture House, the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre in Craiova will present „"Illusions"”, by Ivan Vîrîpaev, directed by Bobi Pricop, performances that will conclude the Short Theatre Festival competition.

But until the jury retires to deliberate, we will enjoy ourselves. 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall with another show signed by stage director Victor Ioan Frunză: „"Nastasia - Neighborhood Story", dramatic rewrite after "Miss Nastasia" by George Mihail Zamfirescu, presented by the "ID Sîrbu" Dramatic Theatre from Petroşani and „"Do you love? You pay!", directed by Denisa Vlad, from 8:00 PM, at the Studio Act Hall.

Immediately after the conclusion of the show "Nastasia - Neighborhood Story", the award ceremony of the 22nd Short Theatre Festival will take place at the Great Hall. Until then, we keep our fingers crossed for all the participants.

And because the festival is a combination of emotion and talent, after a week in which we laughed, lived the dramas in unison and watched with bated breath the tragedies of each character, we are putting an end to it (so that next year we can start over) with a musical comedy, which invites all Oradea residents, from 9:00 p.m., in Union Square, on the Mobile Stage, to song and dance: „"Leonce and Lena", screenplay by Mihai Măniuțiu and Ada Milea after Georg Büchner, directed by Mihai Măniuțiu.

Tickets are on sale at the theater's Ticket Agency from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00 or one hour before each performance. You can also purchase tickets online at www.biletmaster.ro. For additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0259/440.742.

We are waiting for you at the theater!
