THE FIRST SHOWS OF 2016!
The Regina Maria Theater resumes its activity and invites you on Tuesday, January 5, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall to watch a unique show that combines theatrical and cinematic creative techniques: "The Ritual Killing of Gorge Mastromas." A show about the desire to possess absolute power and the consequences that corruption and lies can have on human beings.
A contemporary story that draws us into the vertigo of the life of Gorge Mastromas, an individual who is apparently in search of good, a good that, bizarrely, causes him only discomfort. Despite this, he does not give up his principles and enters the corporate world guided by the same honest spirit. But he is caught in a petty game of destruction of the company he works for, a game in which he will let himself be drawn, being seduced by the power that is promised to him. Mastromas begins to understand that the way he has lived up to that point has been obtuse, limited, that kindness is nothing more than an act of cowardice, and in order to evolve he must lie without any remorse and always take what he wants regardless of the consequences. But his decisions do not remain without repercussions and the show returns us to an old existential dilemma, which applies regardless of the era, even despite contemporary progress and cynicism: "what good does it do a man to gain the whole world, if he loses his soul?".
You will be able to admire the talented actors Richard Balint, Ioana Dragoş Gajdo, Alin Stanciu, Mihaela Gherdan, Pavel Sîrghi, Eugen Neag and Sorin Ionescu.
Wednesday, January 6, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall we are waiting for you at the show „"The Key", a tragicomic story about the end of childhood, which focuses on two brothers who each face their own personal dramas.
They first meet in a bar, not just any bar, but where the younger brother spends a good part of his time, a kind of space-habit. They haven't seen each other for a long time, and their dialogue unfolds almost absurdly, interrupted only by the sporadic appearances of the waiter. The reason for their meeting is simple: the older brother asks for the key to the younger brother's apartment, in order to take his mistress to a rendezvous.
The second part of the show brings a new setting, the much-disputed apartment of the younger brother, where things become more dynamic, new characters appear, and the chaos that is created stimulates the revelation of each inner conflict and forces the exploration of the individual's true personality.
In the characters that will appear on stage, you will recognize the actors Daniel Vulcu, Pavel Sîrghi, Petre Ghimbăşan, Georgia Căprărin, George Dometi, Corina Cernea, Alin Stanciu, Marlena Prigoreanu and Ion Abrudan.
Tickets are on sale at the theater's Ticket Agency from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00.
