THE REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR THE 2016 SHORT THEATRE FESTIVAL HAS CLOSED
Registration period for the XXII edition of Short Theatre Festival from Oradea has come to an end. Over 50 shows of the most diverse and of undeniable artistic value registered between March 1 and June 15 to participate in the competition section, so that theater critic Doru Mareş, this year's selector, will not have an easy mission at all.
The selection of shows that will compete this year at FTS will be announced on June 30. Until then, we thank everyone who registered and wish them good luck. We hope to see you in Oradea in the fall!
The 22nd edition of the Short Theatre Festival will take place between September 25 and October 2, 2016 and promises a large-scale cultural event. Theater lovers will be able to enjoy performances staged this season in theaters in Romania, appreciated by both critics and the general public, as well as some special artistic moments.

The Regina Maria Theatre announces the premiere of the show "Deșteptarea", a contemporary text by Doru Vatavlui, directed by Bobi Pricop, which will take place on January 17 and 18, 2026, from 7:00 PM, in the theatre's Great Hall. On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
