The second national premiere of this year of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe: FAD (Noduri și placa)

The Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to announce the national premiere of the show "„FAD (Nodes and Plates)”", by Nicola Wilson, directed by Horia Suru.

The premiere will take place on Sunday, March 11, at 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall, and spectators who are unable to make it to this first performance have the opportunity to see the show on March 13, at 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall.

The author of the play "Knots and Plates" is a British writer specializing in creating short texts for radio and scripts for television series, and the play "Knots and Plates" is the text with which she debuted in theater.

In Romania, it is the first time that a text written by Nicola Wilson is staged, and the play "Noduri și plăci" was translated from English by Ionuț Grama especially for the Regina Maria Theatre project. The original title was replaced by the acronym "FAD", which stands for Familial Alzheimer's Disease and refers to a subcategory of Alzheimer's disease characterized by early onset and by the fact that the gene is inherited. The name "Knots and Plaques", retained as a subtitle, has the same edifying importance for the text, since knots and plaques are considered the main triggering factors of Alzheimer's disease.

The show deals with the theme of familial Alzheimer's disease in a captivating manner, capturing moments from Vera's life, who is at different stages of her mental state and at different ages.

The vivacity of the family atmosphere fades when she decides to reveal to her husband and children that she already has the first symptoms of this disease, but only for a moment. The trait that characterizes them all, thus surpassing the FAD gene, is the ability to consciously avoid taking anything too seriously, even at the most inopportune moments. Irony gives rise to a lightness that we only find in extremely intelligent people, as is the case with the members of this family. Thus, among Scrabble games, memory loss and parodies, their lives continue to be full of activity.

The characters' antinomic experiences are expressed through music and choreography, and the variety of unexpected situations acquires a positive and motivational tone.

The show's creative team is made up of talented young people, whose merits are already recognized and whose creations have been noted both by the public and among specialized critics.

The stage direction belongs to the young director Horia Suru, whose first meeting with the Oradea audience took place in 2012, when he participated in the Short Theatre Festival with the show "We ARe CaMeRa", by Fritz Kate, and the set is made by the set designer Cristian Marin, who already has an impressive CV, creating the set and costumes for both theater performances and films and music videos.

The choreography is coordinated by Arcadie Rusu, an artist whose vision and talent have already materialized in numerous shows, and the original music is the creation of Petre Ancuța.

The team is completed by Cristian Niculescu, who does the light design.

The cast includes the following actors: Ioana Dragoș Gajdo (Vera), Georgia Căprărin (young Vera), Richard Balint (Nic), Eugen Neag (young Nic), Corina Cernea (Barbara) and Gabriela Codrea (Eva). In addition to the actors of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe, the cast will include students of the Faculty of Theatre and Television in Cluj Napoca: Calița Nantu (Lila) and Yannick Becker (Dani), who are collaborating for the first time with the troupe in Oradea, and the young actress Carina Bunea (Gwen), whom the Oradea audience can also see in the shows "In the Heart of the Night - Episode Lear" and "Mr. Jurdan".

The orchestra is made up of Oradea artists Henrietta Varady (piano), Flaviu Seretoc (double bass), Alexandru Seretoc (drums) and Georgiana Mircescu (flute).

? The show is not recommended for people under 16!

Tickets are on sale at the Theatre Ticket Agency from Tuesday to Friday between 12:00 and 18:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00.
