SEVENTH PREMIERE OF THE IOSIF VULCAN TRUP: TWELFTH NIGHT
We are pleased to invite you to join us at the seventh premiere of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe in the 2012-2013 season: TWELFTH NIGHT by William Shakespeare. This will take place on Sunday, March 17, at 7 p.m., at the Great Hall of the Regina Maria Theatre. Tickets are already on sale both at the Theatre Agency and online, on the website ticketmaster.
Written near Christmas 1600, Twelfth Night, like many other Shakespearean comedies, is based on the confusion of the identities of some characters. Viola and Sebastian, twin brothers, escape from a shipwreck, but neither knows what happened to the other's fate. Viola disguises herself as a boy to get a job as a page at the court of Duke Orsino. From here on, a series of comic situations arise. The characters are amusing. We sense that nothing serious will happen in the end, despite all the unexpected events. All the confusions will be resolved and the play will end in a perfect balance of harmony and love.
