TRM is hiring TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The Regina Maria Theater is hiring a full-time and temporary stage director (backstage).

Specific conditions for filling the position:

  • Higher education
  • Length of service in the field of study: 3 years and 6 months
  • Computer operating/programming skills (need and level): average level of PC operation
  • Intermediate level an international language

Required skills, qualities and aptitudes:

  • the ability to concentrate during rehearsals and performances, exclusively on stage issues, to perfectly know all the maneuvers that are done in performances (both the set maneuvers, lights, props used in the show), communication techniques.
  • communication and organization skills of working groups.

Job description:

  • working time is established by the management of the institution to achieve the full norm;
  • has as its main task the coordination and supervision of rehearsals and performances under the direct guidance of the artistic director;
  • prepares the multiplication of texts and distributes them to the entire artistic staff in the cast, in order to prepare the show
  • after the last dress rehearsal, the backstage director takes full responsibility for the development, under the conditions required by the artistic director, of the entire show;
  • takes sketches for setting up the set from the set designers; takes pictures of the set up;
  • collaborates on the annotations made on the text by the sound and lighting engineers and makes copies of them, which remain in the performance file;
  • checks from a technical point of view, before the start of rehearsals and performances - the installation of the set, according to the set design sketch, lights, submitted by the set designer, the presence of the actors, the equipment in the technical control room and solves technical problems responsibly;
  • after each rehearsal and performance, records observations in the rehearsal and performance register and, if there are problems, presents the register to the artistic director of the troupe;
  • at the direction of the band director, drafts the workday schedule and posts it;
  • participates in weekly theater activity planning meetings;
  • coordinates and is responsible for the activity of all personnel serving the stage, including actors (during performances and rehearsals);
  • performs the monthly timesheet of the artistic and technical staff servicing the stage, which results from the work records kept by the rehearsal and performance conditions, on the basis of which the bonus for special conditions is also established, handing it over to the human resources office by the last working day of the month;
  • left-handed manipulation of the lectern;
  • creating a favorable working atmosphere on stage, solving unforeseen problems.
