In November and December, the Regina Maria Theatre continues its series of national collaborations through the show exchange project, bringing to the Oradea audience two powerful, relevant and courageous productions of the Romanian independent scene. Both performances will take place at the Transilvania Hall and are co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.

ACTING OUT

„"ACTING OUT" is a performative exploration built around the legacy of artist Esther Magyar-Gonda and her collaborator, Katia Pascariu. The show foregrounds an unconventional artistic universe, recovering fragments of personal history, corporeality, vulnerability and rebellion.
Mihai Lukács proposes an intense and introspective stage approach, in which the past and the present meet in a profound dialogue about identity, cultural resistance and expressiveness. The production was critically acclaimed, being noted as a necessary intervention in contemporary performative discourse.

„"People and Weapons" is a theatrical investigation into collective memory, industrial history and social tensions. Starting from the stories of workers at the Cugir Mechanical Plant, the show analyzes the relationship between people, industry and the politics of armaments, asking uncomfortable questions about invisible work, responsibility and the systems that shape our lives.

David Schwartz, known for his rigorous and empathetic documentary theater, builds a powerful narrative here, based on real testimonies and in-depth research, transforming the stage into a space for confrontation, reflection and humanization of an often ignored subject.

By presenting these two productions, the Regina Maria Theater continues its mission to open the local scene to diverse forms of artistic expression and to dialogue with independent creators. The Oradea audience thus has the opportunity to discover new perspectives, innovative approaches and essential themes for today's society.
