A weekend full of cultural activities at the ARCADIA CHILDREN'S THEATRE FESTIVAL
The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater invites you this weekend June 16 – 18 take part in a multitude of cultural and entertaining activities, for all tastes and ages, during the 4th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival.
On Friday, June 16, from 5:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall you can watch the show. „"Love is like cheese"”. The students from the Oradea Children's and Students' Palace who are part of the FloraJun Troupe will delight us by telling us the comical story of Geronimo, a little mouse who embarks on a relaxing cruise in the South Seas, where he may find love.
On Saturday, June 17, from 11:00, the Arcadia Hall Stage will once again transform into a storytelling space, with the protagonist being „"Puss in Boots"”, a show aimed at children over the age of three, presented by the "Merlin" Timișoara Troupe. Afterwards, teenagers, but not those under 16, are invited from 6:00 PM, at the Arcadia Hall to experience the "Țăndărică" Animation Theatre from Bucharest. „"A Midsummer Night's Dream"”, one of the most beautiful romantic comedies written by William Shakespeare.
On Sunday, June 18, in the midst of the holiday, we put on our premiere attire. From 11:00, at the Arcadia Hall, we will perform some of the most beloved „"Hungarian Folk Tales"”. "The Bragging Rabbit", "The Poor Man and the Tricked Fox", "The Grumpy Wolf" and "The Bear and the Cat" will come to life on the theater stage, combining visual, musical and clothing elements specific to Hungarian culture, which will send us on a fantastic journey into the imaginary and traditional local space. In the structure of these elements we will also be able to distinguish fragments in common with Romanian folklore, a fact that reconfirms the existence of multiculturalism since the time of storytelling at the tables and at the village hearth. The direction is signed by actor Igor Lungu, who also created the show "Russian Folk Tales", helped by Florian Silaghi who made the stage adaptation, by Oana Cernea who signs the set design and by actress Armanca Serac, with whom she will take the stage to bring the characters to life.
The weekend ends with two extraordinary events: from 5:00 PM children are invited to Children's Carnival – Character Parade where they themselves will be able to give life to fairy tale characters. We challenge them to dress up as princes, princesses, ogres, superheroes and for a moment be the ones who present their favorite stories to their parents and grandparents, through costumes. The parade will start from Corso and end in the Oradea Citadel, where at 6:00 PM the children will be rewarded with a magical show, performed by Dr. Bubble and Milkshake who will make „"Raining Balloons"”.
Our story has not reached its end, however, so we look forward to seeing you at all the events that will take place within the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival until July 2.
