Queen Marie Theater Oradea

Artistic director

Date and place of birth: 31.10.1971, Măguri Răcătău

Studies: University of Theatre and Cinematography "ILCaragiale" Bucharest, 1998, directing, in the class of Cătălina Buzoianu

The presence in Oradea of a young director like Alina Hiristea was a reason for joy and hope for the actors of the troupe, who were somewhat rejuvenated as well. We note that her repertoire choices went towards important authors and valuable plays: Goldoni ("The Servant of Two Masters"), IL Caragiale ("Conu Leonida"), Oscar Wilde ("Good evening, Mr. Wilde!"), Jean Paul Sartre ("Closed Doors"), Albert Camus ("The Misunderstanding"), Witold Gombrowicz ("Ivona, Princess of Burgundy"). Intelligent, with excellent theatrical readings, with good training in related artistic fields (music, visual arts), Alina Hiristea, starting from the text itself, put thorough knowledge at the base of her performances.

Very ambitious, but having, like all young creators, the desire to put her personal and responsible mark on the show, she signed both the translation and the stage adaptation of the plays "Closed Doors" and "Disagreement", arguing that she "constructs" her texts in full accordance with her directorial vision. Moreover, she sometimes signed the soundtrack of the shows. It's about courage...  but perhaps also an excessive assumption of artistic responsibility. The chroniclers Doina Papp and Dumitru Chirilă welcomed the presence of the young creator in Oradea, appreciating the tension, the drama of the "closed" show and appreciating the intention of "exiting the theater from mediocrity". With the show "Leonid's Cone" - the director proved that she knows how to work more carefully with the actors and be consistent with her own vision. The same conclusion was drawn by commentators after the premiere of the show "The Misunderstanding" by Albert Camus - a masterpiece. Built much more thoroughly, with more certainty, marked, in other words, by the director's professionalism, bathed in that mysterious halo, capable of keeping the audience in a well-graded emotional state and displaying a scenic image of "cold" beauty, the show proved to be, with certainty, in full agreement with the depth of the message. The commentators of the show noted the good preparation, the culture, the rich adjacent readings of the young director, the intelligence of the approach, the serious repertoire options, the personal program followed with consistency.
