"Lyubov Yarovaya" is a huge historical panel reflecting the everyday life of the era of the Revolution of 1917, which marked the establishment of Soviet power in Russia. A large gallery of heroes (workers, peasants, intellectuals) is set in motion, revealing different characters of the Russian man of that time. At the center of the play is the drama of the Yarovoys. Until the Revolution, the two loved and respected each other, lived in understanding and harmony. During the years of deep turmoil of the Revolution, the Yarovoys choose different paths, so that an impassable chasm is created between them. Teacher Lyubov Yarovaya, imbued with the values of the Revolution, follows the example of the Bolsheviks, of Commissar Koshchin or of the sailor Svandia. Her husband chooses the opposite camp; although he flirted with progressive ideas, he does not understand the Revolution. The clash between the spouses reflects the clash between the two worlds and anticipates the transformations that will change the face of the country.
