Artistic director Farkas Ştefan, an employee of the Hungarian section, collaborated with interest and continuous openness towards getting to know the Romanian troupe – with its actors.

Particularly interested in the comic genre, not necessarily easy, but with an audience appeal, he opted for comedy of value, with music, often making shows with great public success, he staged comedies by Oscar Wilde – „What Does It Mean to Be Honest?” or „Cactus Flower”, the famous comedy by Barillet and Grédy – not fearing the competition of a much-loved film with Ingrid Bergman. He worked carefully and with infinite love and interest for the children's universe, a show full of charm and joy: „Mary Poppins” by Silvia Kerim after Pamela Travers – starring the very young and talented actress Tania Filip.

Successful plays with the public were "The Recruiting Officer" by George Farquhar (which one critic said, however, overused the crude humor), "The Quarrels of Chioggia" by Carlo Goldoni ("an avalanche of gags and puns"), a cheerful and lively show - and "How to Win Men" by W. Somerset Maugham (a critic noted that the "genre" could have supported "cascades of laughter", but they were lacking). However, I believe that Farkas Ştefan was one of the few directors who had humor himself, sincerely loved the actors, and always worked with them in a relaxed atmosphere, appealing to their creativity and fantasy.
