We are pleased to announce that the Regina Maria Theater returned victorious from the ATELIER International Theater Festival in Baia Mare: Richard Balint won the Special Jury Prize and Lorant Andras won the Best Choreographer Prize.

Fiddler on the Roof had three other nominations: for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Ioana Dragos Gajdo), for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Richard Balint) and for Best Set Design (Vioara Bara).

It is not the first time that the Iosif Vulcan Troupe of the Oradea theatre has been appreciated at this festival. In 2006, we participated with the show NEVESTELE VESELE DIN WINDSOR (by William Shakespeare, artistic direction Victor-Ioan Frunză) and received the Award for Best Direction, the Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Ioana Dragoş Gajdo (for the role of Mrs. Quickly) and the Award for Best Music: Cari Tibor. In 2011, we participated with the show COPILUL ACESTA (by Joel Pommerat, artistic direction Vlad Massaci), where we were rewarded with the Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Corina Cernea.
