Over 60 people on stage sing and dance, accompanied by a spectacular orchestra: Hakeshet Klezmer Band, under the direction of Ari Nagy Sandor.

Adapted from the story by Shalom Alehem – „Tevye’s Daughters”, Fiddler on the Roof is one of the most successful musicals of all time. The first stage adaptation, at the Imperial Theatre on Broadway, premiered in 1964 and has seen over 3,200 performances over the years. The 1971 film adaptation was also a great success with audiences and critics.

The play tells the story of several incidents in the life of milkman Tevye, in his effort to keep his family united by respecting the all-powerful tradition in the Jewish community of the Russian village of Anatevka.

With the participation of the expanded orchestra "Hakeshet Klezmer Band":

The HAKESHET KLEZMER BAND was formed within the Jewish Community of Oradea at the initiative of the late Gyuri Vilan who, as an accordionist, led the destinies of the community choir for over 35 years. After his untimely passing, the band reorganized itself, began conquering the public on stages in Hungary, Israel, Argentina and of course on numerous stages in the country, managing to gain recognition from the public.
