Actor Emil Sauciuc of the Regina Maria Theater gave an extraordinary performance - reading in front of the students of the Mihai Eminescu National College, bringing to life a well-known character from Romanian literature - Jonah, from the dramatic parable with a single character, which bears the same name, written by Marin Sorescu.

The show had two performances, on May 17 and 19, and was performed in the Festive Hall of Mihai Eminescu College. Students, curious to see another way of reading a literary work, namely the theatrical one, filled the hall for both performances.

The delight with which they received such a pedagogical initiative was felt in the applause at the end. The credit for giving life to Marin Sorescu's dramatic work goes to actor Emil Sauciuc, who not only masterfully interpreted the character, but also directed the entire moment.

The reading performances proposed by the Regina Maria Theater constitute an interdisciplinary approach whose main objectives are to develop a taste for reading and revive interest in Romanian literature, reading being a form of acquiring the nuances of thought and a direct way of facilitating the clear expression of ideas.

The importance of this initiative also stems from the fact that young readers are invited to make a brief foray into the world of theater, where characters come to life and everything is transformed into movement.
