QUEEN MARIA THEATRE IN AVIGNON OFF!

Between July 18-28, a delegation from the Regina Maria Theatre received an invitation to participate with the show DOMNUL NOSTOC ȘI MYSTERELE DIN OCEAN (by Patrice Seiler, directed by Radu Dinulescu), by the Arcadia Troupe, at one of the largest theater festivals in the world: AVIGNON OFF.

The Avignon OFF Festival takes place for almost a month (July 8-31) throughout the city, in over 120 different locations, with hundreds of shows performed daily, covering the entire range of theatrical events (children's shows, dance theater, classical theater, circus theater, musical theater, object theater, street theater, film theater, documentary theater, pantomime).

The troupe performed 9 shows during this period; the show was performed in French, enjoying a diverse audience and arousing the interest not only of children, but also of representatives of specialized theater companies.

The delegation included: Daniel Vulcu (general manager of the Regina Maria Theater), Florian Silaghi (artistic director of the Arcadia Troupe), Radu Dinulescu (director), Oana Cernea (scenographer), Igor Lungu, Sorin and Lenuța Dorobanțu (actors).

Participants in this festival had the opportunity to watch puppet theater performances addressed to both young and adult audiences, created contacts from various European theaters, and met with fellow craftsmen.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
