SUCCESS AT THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL ATELIER BAIA MARE

Atelier International Theatre Festival, which took place this year in Baia Mare, has designated its winners. The jury, consisting of Cristina RUSIECKI – the president of the jury, Nicolae WEISZ, Emanuel PETRAN and Andrei MĂJERI, awarded prizes in the following categories: BEST SHOW, BEST DIRECTOR, BEST ACTOR, BEST ACTRESS, BEST SET DESIGNER, BEST CHOREOGRAPHER, BEST ONE MAN SHOW, AWARD FOR STAGE MUSIC and SPECIAL JURY AWARD.

Following the jury's decision, the show IN THE HEART OF THE NIGHT – THE LEAR EPISODE, directed by Gavriil Pinte at the Regina Maria Theatre, was awarded the prize for best scenography. The credit goes to the talented scenographer Roxana Ionescu, who created the stage decor and costumes for the show.

The list of nominees for this category also included Marieta Golomehova – for the scenography of the show "I SISIF" – artistic direction Veselka Kuncheva, PUPPET`S LAB, from Sofia (Bulgaria) and Cristian Marin – for the scenography of the show "COLUMBINUS", artistic direction Horia Suru, BAIA MARE MUNICIPAL THEATRE.

Roxana Ionescu thus wins the second prize for best scenography with a show produced at the Regina Maria Theater, after in 2014 she obtained this award at the 20th edition of the Oradea Short Theater Festival for the show IN THE HEART OF THE NIGHT – THE HAMELT EPISODE.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees of the 23rd edition of Atelier Baia Mare International Theater Festival. Deepest regards to the set designer Roxana Ionescu and the entire team of the show IN THE HEART OF THE NIGHT – THE LEAR EPISODE.
