SUMMER EVENINGS WITH GAMES AND STORIES

We are getting ready for a new series of summer workshops dedicated to children! This time, there will be four different workshops with different themes. Children will be able to learn theatrical games for personal development, discover how to handle a puppet and create stories around it, build their own shadow theater show, play with puppets from their favorite shows and listen to the most beautiful stories.

June 28, 6:00 PM, Arcadia Hall – PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP THROUGH THEATRE GAMES (+ 5 years)
With: Armanca Serac and Stefana Tarniceru

The world is full of discoveries, challenges and new encounters. Through play, imagination and theatrical exercises, children learn to have more confidence in themselves, to express their emotions and ideas easily and to relate harmoniously with those around them.

Personal development workshops through theatrical games help them develop their creativity, attention, empathy and the courage to express themselves. In a safe and friendly environment, little ones discover how to collaborate, communicate assertively and find solutions when faced with new or difficult situations.

June 30, 6:00 PM, Arcadia Hall – PUPPETS ON HOLIDAY (+8 years)
With: Florian Silaghi and Joanna Buta

Did you know that marionettes are among the most spectacular theatrical puppets? They move with the help of strings and can bring unforgettable characters to life.

At the "Puppets on Vacation" workshop, children will discover how to handle a small-sized puppet and create their own skits inspired by events in their lives, beloved stories, or the most beautiful memories from summer vacation.

For each story, participants will be able to choose different settings: classroom, counseling office, school yard, playground, home room, representative tourist attractions from Bihor County.

Thus, with the help of the guiding actors, children will become playwrights, actors and directors for a moment, exploring the fascinating world of theater through play and imagination.

July 2, 6:00 PM, Arcadia Hall – SHADOW THEATRE WORKSHOP (+ 3 years)
With: Armanca Serac and Zentania Lupșe

Shadow puppetry is part of children's everyday play, even if we don't always realize it. Shadows created with little hands or various objects projected on the wall are fascinating and fun. But did you know that this play has its origins in ancient Chinese shadow puppetry?

At the shadow theater workshop, children will draw, cut and glue to create their own characters. Once the characters are ready, the adventure begins! Participants will bring the characters they have created to life and together build imaginative stories with the help of shadows.

Children will thus discover the mechanisms of shadow theater, learn how characters are built and how they are manipulated to bring a story to life. At the same time, they will develop their creativity, skill, communication skills and collaborative spirit, creating beautiful memories and unforgettable experiences.

July 9, 6:00 PM, Arcadia Hall – THEATRE GAMES AND STORIES WITH PUPPETS (+ 3 years)
With: Armanca Serac and Alexander Pop

It's summer vacation, and children's thoughts are mostly focused on play. So why not turn play into an adventure in the world of theater?

During the workshop, children will discover some of the secrets of the acting profession. After this foray behind the scenes of the theater, we will transform into characters from the most beloved shows of the Arcadia Troupe.

Children will discover the magic of theater through play and exploration. They will have the opportunity to experience new things, make friends, develop their imagination and creativity, and gain more confidence in themselves and their abilities.

The participation fee is 30 lei/person and is paid only for the child. During the workshops, we invite parents to relax and wait in the foyer.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
