SWIMATHON 2014 RESULTS

Under the motto "Make waves in the summer, come to the theater in the fall", Cultural Foundation Oradea International Theatre Festival in partnership with the Regina Maria Theater participated in the SWIMATHON ORADEA event, organized by the Oradea Community Foundation (Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the "Ioan Alexandrescu" Olympic Pool).

For the cause of the ORADEA INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL – FITO, 2nd edition, three teams swam:

  • CELESTICA Team
  • TIGER AMIRA Team
  • The Queen Maria Theatre Team

The Regina Maria Theater team was made up of the following:

  • Teodora Avram, volunteer
  • Hajni Biros, volunteer
  • Diana Burca, volunteer
  • Sorin Ionescu, actor
  • Razvan Vicoveanu, actor

The amount raised for the 2nd Edition of FITO is 3260 lei, the main sponsors being CELESTICA and TIGER AMIRA; it is worth mentioning that individuals also donated money to our cause. The money will be used to organize the Oradea International Theatre Festival.

The swimming teams were encouraged from the sidelines by supporters: actors, employees and volunteers of the Regina Maria Theater, present in large numbers at the Olympic pool.

We would like to thank everyone who supported and encouraged us in our fundraising!

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
