The last weekend of the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival

The 5th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival is coming to an end. A month of stories will end this weekend with four extraordinary performances and a unique concert, performed by actor Alex Ștefănescu.

Friday, June 8, the festival day begins at 5:00 PM with the show "A Meter Away from You", presented with great delicacy at the Arcadia Hall by the "Ion Creangă" Theater in Bucharest. A wordless show, in which the poetry of movement predominates, and the versatile space that transforms in front of the audience will charm everyone, from the smallest to the giants. From 8:00 PM, in the Oradea Citadel we relax to guitar chords, spread with talent in the souls of the listeners by actor Alex Ștefănescu, finalist at Romanians Have Talent, who will retell, sing and parody 9 famous plays.

On Saturday, June 9, Pantalone the Stingy is sent by the "Ion Creangă" Theater in Bucharest to the moon, where old people rejuvenate, children command their parents, and monkeys become emperors. It seems like an ideal world, where rivers of gold and diamonds flow, but nothing is ever perfect – "Pantalone on the Moon", from 11:00, at the Great Hall. From 19:00, at the Arcadia Hall, Reactor de creație și experiment invites teenagers to a show that deals with a pressing contemporary problem: manipulation. Portraying simple situations, as a sequence of episodes taken from everyday life (a meeting, a dialogue with the mother, a discussion held online), it demonstrates how the boundary between the manipulator and the manipulated sometimes becomes increasingly blurred.

On Sunday, June 10, at 11:00 AM, we conclude the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival with one of the most beautiful stories in world literature: "The Snow Queen", presented by the "Țăndărică" Animation Theater in Bucharest. The Great Hall of the Theater will transform for a moment into a magical universe, where children are invited to embark on a journey full of adventures and misadventures in the vast white expanse of the land enchanted by the Snow Queen.

Tickets are on sale at the Theatre Ticket Agency from Tuesday to Friday between 12:00 and 18:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before the show or online at www.biletmaster.ro. For additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0372/368.475.

Arcadia Children's Theater Festival is financed by The Administration of the National Cultural Fund, public institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture, which provides non-reimbursable funding every year to institutions carrying out cultural activities.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival!

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
