ALADDIN RETURNS TO ARCADIA HALL!
After participating in the European tour in over 16 locations in Belgium, the Czech Republic and France, the Arcadia Troupe returns to play the show A Thousand and One Frontiers (The Tale of Aladdin) in front of the beloved Oradea public.
show will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Arcadia Hall.
The show is a multinational co-production, involving artists from Romania, the Czech Republic, Belgium and France, which tells the story of a group of traveling actors stopped at a border crossing. To solve this problem, they improvise a puppet show about the adventures of Aladdin for the border policeman. Thanks to the magic and humor of the play, the actors convince the policeman, but also the audience, that they have earned the right to cross the border. Commedia dell'arte archetypes, classic string puppets and bunraku puppets are the main ingredients used to portray the fascinating oriental story, all enriched by the illusion of sets and 3D images.

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
