In the colorful world of "The Matchmaker," marriage is negotiated, alliances are carefully constructed, and dowries often weigh as much as feelings. Couples are formed according to well-calculated strategies, and social and economic advantage seems to be the key to a successful union. But the true mastery of the matchmaker is revealed when interest and love meet, and love finds a place among calculations and appearances.
The Iosif Vulcan troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre announces the premiere of the show "How the Other Half Loves" by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Victor Olăhuț, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 21 and March 22, 2026, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall.
On Monday, May 26, the XXXII edition of the UNITER Awards Gala took place in the "Amza Pellea" Hall of the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in Craiova.
During the ceremony, the young director Alex Ianăși, who began his career on the stage of the Regina Maria Theater, won the award for Best debut for the show ELIF AND THE RAIN, whose premiere took place on December 21 and 22, 2024, at the Transilvania Hall.
