PREMIERE – GULLIVER

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to invite you to a new premiere: "Gulliver”, adaptation of Jonathan Swift, directed by Radu Dinulescu, which will take place on Sunday, February 19, at 11:00, at the Arcadia Hall. The show starts from the essence of Swift's novel, but the theme is approached in a contemporary manner, both from the point of view of the construction of the subject and that of the stage setting, as it proposes a combination of the universe of puppet animation with stereoscopic 3D images.

The team of Radu Dinulescu and Armand Richelet-Kleinberg (a Belgian graphic designer, musician and film producer) is in their third collaboration with the Arcadia Troupe, after the success recorded with the shows "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" in 2011 and "A Thousand and One Borders - The Story of Aladdin" in 2014, working with techniques that allowed them to individualize and surprise.

The show "Gulliver", created after a script by Radu Dinulescu, is a visual, non-verbal show, being, to date, the most elaborate of all the productions created by the artistic team Radu Dinulescu - Armand Richelet-Kleinberg.

Gulliver, a modern-day child, about 8-9 years old, is so passionate about video games that he becomes literally absorbed in the virtual world. Thus, he ends up in another dimension, where the characters around him are Lilliputians, and he becomes a virtual giant. Even though initially the interaction with the little inhabitants of Lilliput is not full of kindness, over time they become good friends, and Gulliver even turns into a savior.

The show lasts 45 minutes and is aimed at an audience over 5 years old. The team that brought the project to life, in addition to director Radu Dinulescu and graphic designer Armand Richelet-Kleinberg – who designed the set design and 3D images, includes actors Zentania Lupșe, Consuela Egyed, Alex Pop, Florian Silaghi and set designer Csüri Emese. The second performance is scheduled for Saturday, March 4, at 11:00, at the Arcadia Hall.

Tickets are on sale at the theater's Ticket Agency from Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before each performance or online at www.biletmaster.ro. For additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0259/440.

We look forward to seeing you!
