PREMIERE OF HANSEL AND GRETEL AT THE ARCADIA TROUPE!
We have the great pleasure of inviting you to a new premiere of the ARCADIA TRUP, HÄNSEL AND GRETEL by Hanyecz-Debelka Róbert, based on an idea by the Brothers Grimm. The premiere will take place at the Arcadia Hall, Saturday, May 18, at 11 am.
The Hänsel and Gretel show is a demanding work of creation and offers a pleasant show to the puppet theater audience of all ages. The price of a ticket is 10 lei for adults and 8 lei for children. Tickets can be purchased from the Theater's Ticket Agency, online at www.biletmaster.ro and one hour before the show starts.
The plot of the fairy tale Hänsel and Gretel is familiar to everyone. The idea of moving away from age is the main idea of the recent adaptation, because the story of the two brothers could happen even today, because we are telling it today. The goal was not to put a modern spin on an old fairy tale, but to bring the fairy tale closer to the audience, so that it would be more understandable to today's children.
Hänsel and Gretel are two chattering children, in whose thoughts we can recognize our own children, neighbors, ourselves.
The expressive play of the large, plastic puppets is complemented by the presence, state, and acting of the handlers. The action often becomes interactive with the children, and the text, which brings freshness and allows for improvisation, prevents the minimization of a well-known story.
