MINI FEST – theater days for the youngest spectators – second edition in Oradea

"The arts do not take into account age, but curiosity!"

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre, in partnership with the Ion Creangă Theatre in Bucharest (www.teatrulioncreanga.ro), organizes the second edition of "Mini Fest - theater days for the youngest spectators" between January 26-28, 2018, an event dedicated to children aged 0 to 6. Held with the aim of promoting the importance and benefits of Early Childhood Education through theater, "Mini Fest" proposes sensory stories created for the little ones, as well as related activities dedicated to adults. All activities in this edition will be held in the Studio Arcadia Hall.

Small size days, an event organized annually on the last weekend of January, is in its fourth edition and takes place in numerous cities around the world.

The activities are organized and presented simultaneously, thus creating a unique global event.

The event was initiated by Small size Network and represents an extended activity of the international project "„Small size, performing arts for early years"”, funded under the Creative Europe Programme (2014-2020). Oradea entered the map of this international event last year, thanks to the mentoring partnership concluded between the Regina Maria Theatre and the Ion Creangă Theatre. The festival will feature performances created especially for the youngest spectators, two of which are by the Arcadia Troupe, and one by the Lilliput Troupe of the Szigligeti Szinhaz Theatre.

Mini Fest 2018 program:

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
