Performances from the Arcadia Children's Theater Festival during Kids Fest

Two weeks have passed like a dream since the opening bell of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival rang. Fascinated by the incredible world of fairy tales, children, parents, and grandparents filled the theater halls, with all the shows scheduled so far playing to a sold-out crowd.

But that was just the beginning. The third week of the festival (June 1 – 3) comes with even more surprises in store, especially because we are celebrating International Children's Day and we have a beautiful collaboration with Kids Fest, another festival dedicated to the most beautiful period in a person's life: childhood.

Thus, on Friday, June 1, from 11:00, the Arcadia Troupe invites you to the Oradea Citadel to the show "Hungarian Folk Tales", a mosaic of short stories collected from Hungarian folklore, in which the pleasure of play and humor harmoniously combine with the well-drawn characters of the characters and the moral that accompanies each event. In the afternoon, from 18:00, also in the citadel, babies become the protagonists of the story in the show "Small or Big".

Saturday, June 2, we'll see you again at the Citadel. In the morning, from 10:00, the Marionette Troupe of the Classical Theatre "Ioan Slavici" will teach us some "Magic Games", an interactive show full of color and joy in which the puppet characters and actors, together with all the children present in the hall, help the bunny Mofturică understand the importance of friendship. In the afternoon, from 18:00, the Soso and Nuti Company from Arad invites us to "Theatre on Wheels: Stories with Clowns".

Sunday, June 3, from 6:00 PM, we conquer the Oradea Fortress again, this time with the help of the "Merlin" Children and Youth Theater in Timișoara, with the show "The New Tale of Little Red Riding Hood", which tries to change the unfavorable image of the wolf, proposing a more... different character.

And one more thing, all shows have free admission!

That being said, don't forget that the festival lasts until June 10, during which you will be able to enjoy absolutely wonderful theater performances every weekend and you will be able to have fun and learn new things at the creative workshops and outdoor activities supported by ONCR between June 4 and 8.

Tickets are on sale at the Theatre Ticket Agency from Tuesday to Friday between 12:00 and 18:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before the show or online at www.biletmaster.ro. For additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0372/368.475.

Arcadia Children's Theater Festival is financed by The Administration of the National Cultural Fund, public institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture, which provides non-reimbursable funding every year to institutions carrying out cultural activities.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival!

On the 50th anniversary of the first theater festival in Oradea – Short Theatre Week, the Regina Maria Theatre announces the selection of the 10th edition of the Oradea International Theatre Festival (FITO), financed by the Bihor County Council, which will take place between 11–20 September 2026. This year's anniversary edition brings to the fore a broad and diverse program, built around the two already established sections: the 28th edition of the Short Theatre Festival and the 6th edition of the Arcadia Children's Theatre Festival, which resumes after an 8-year break. The program of performances will be supported by a series of other events that will transform FITO into a meeting place between artists, professionals in the field of performing arts and the public.
