Ioan Ieremia describes this show as one "about love. About how wonderful love is in our dreams and about man's inability to love as he dreams of loving. About longing, melancholy and the eternal feminine, in Eminescu's poetry.
A show with anthropomorphic signs and symbols through which we attribute human qualities and feelings to natural phenomena, a metaphor always present in Eminescu's creation.
I dedicate this show to the wonderful woman, Eleonora Maria, my wife, who has endured all my "theatrical" infidelities with stoicism and rock-solid devotion since the last century.
And because you have not had the opportunity, until now, to see me in this position, I must confess to you that for me Theater is a syncretic but not kleptomaniac art, that it appeals to all the arts but does not grant any one a status of autonomy, that all the means it appeals to, in order to express itself, must be born and made, from the need for expression of the game, of the actor. I strive to make theater to get as close as possible to the harmonies of music because in the rigor of music there is more immediate poetry than in all other arts. I refuse to appeal to modern means, such as film, projections, etc. because I am a follower of the one who discovered that "For 2000 years, Theater has not been made, but a show".
Ioan Moldovan, director of Familia Magazine:
„"2015 is a great year for the Familia Magazine: the 150th anniversary of the publication of its first issue, in Pest, June 1865, the "encyclopedic page with illustrations" with the young scholar Iosif Vulcan as its editor. He was not only an admirable builder of cultural publications - "Familia" being the most brilliant of them in its first series between 1865 and 1906 -, but also a fervent supporter of the creation of a theater - both dramatic literature and a performance institution - in the Romanian language in the Transylvanian space. In this anniversary context and cultural content, the Oradea theater today has the generous and admirable initiative to offer the celebration of "Familia" a very special gift: an intimate performance related to the "biography" of the magazine. Let us remember that in 1865, in the spring, the young poet Mihail Eminovici made his debut in the magazine "Familia", to whom the editor of the magazine "joyfully opened its columns" with a welcome that would prove to be linked to the destiny of the poet and the magazine, changing his name to Mihai Eminescu, a name that would become the famous MIHAI EMINESCU.
It is known that the poet launched himself into major dramatic projects, and among them is the unfinished play, which director Ioan Ieremia is now ensuring a theatrical re-presentation that we can consider as a reverence over time brought to the Poet, "The Family" and Iosif Vulcan. It is, in fact, an overture to the great celebration of the magazine, an opening of the series of tributes that are due to this institution called the "Familia" Cultural Magazine, a national publication that has been published - through its five series - in Oradea since 1880."„
