STORYTELLING FESTIVALS IN WHICH THE ARCADIA GROUP PARTICIPATED

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre toured the country this fall and delighted, through their stories, the imaginative curiosity of the little spectators, but also of the older ones, who still kept a piece of magic in their souls. The storytellers' diligence was duly rewarded, as they returned crowned with awards.

The journey of stories began in September, at the Children's Theatre Festival "Aşchiuţă", organized by the Children's and Youth Theatre "Aşchiuţă" from Piteşti, which is in its 6th edition this year. Our storytellers lured the littlest children to the theatre and taught them, through the show "Omuleţ", what the components of the human body are and what each one has to do. As a reward, they returned home with two diplomas in their quiver: a diploma for using the means of animation theatre in the educational process of children (1-4 years old) and one awarded especially to Mr. Florian Silaghi for vision and initiative in the Children's and Youth Theatre.

The show "Omuleţ" was also performed at the International Children's Theatre Festival "100, 1,000, 1,000,000 Stories", organized by the "Ion Creangă" Theatre, Bucharest, in October. The Oradea troupe, by creating the show itself and by inviting it to perform at the festival, responds to the partnership of mentoring concluded with the Bucharest theater, an activity that proposes a program addressed to children between the ages of 0 and 6 and aims to captivate and offer young spectators the opportunity to enter the playful world of theater through play, starting from the principle that there is no age for art.

In October, another fascinating character enchanted the audience in three other major Romanian cities, only to return home victorious: "Stan Bolovan - The Fear of the Dragons". The first stop of the strong Stan Bolovan was at the 11th edition of the "Povesti" International Theater Festival, organized by the "Prichindel" Theater in Alba Iulia. After defeating the playful dragons of Alba Iulia, he quickly headed to Timişoara, to the "Sub bagheta lui Merlin" Animation Festival, organized by the Merlin Theater, where, as a reward for his bravery, he received an award for scenography. Congratulations to the talented scenographer Oana Cernea, who recreated the enchanting setting of the fairy tale.

Stan Bolovan also stopped by Cluj-Napoca, at the "Puck" International Puppet and Marionette Theatre Festival, where Florian Silaghi was awarded the award for vocal performance.

But our heroes still have many adventures ahead of them, in which they will call on the help of brave children. The first of these is right now, on November 6, at 11:00, at the Studio Arcadia Hall, where the playful "Little Man" will welcome you with great affection.

Tickets are on sale at the theater's Ticket Agency from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00, and on weekends between 10:00 and 13:00. You can also purchase tickets one hour before each performance or online at www.biletmaster.ro. For additional information and ticket reservations, please call: 0259/440.742.

We are waiting for you at the theater!
