THE SHOW "LEONCE AND LENA" AWARDED AT THE "ATELIER" INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL BAIA MARE
Extraordinary news from the "ATELIER" International Theater Festival in Baia Mare (June 10-18, 2017)! Yesterday, June 18, the awards of the 24th edition were presented, and "Leonce and Lena" was among the jury's favorite performances.
The jury, consisting of Cristian Ban (jury president), Gabriela Lupu, Lorena Copil, Ștefan Caraman and Ioan Botiș, awarded the following prizes: the special jury prize, the prize for the best set designer, the prize for the best actress, the prize for the best actor, the prize for the best director and the prize for the best show.
Three of these were given to the Oradea show "Leonce and Lena", namely: special jury prize for music, which went to Ada Milea, consisting of the painting PORTRAIT OF CHARLES DARWIN, offered by the artist Paul Covaci; the award for best scenographer, which returned to him ADRIAN DAMIAN, consisting of the work MNESTER DANCEZĂ, by Agatha Hory and the award for best actor, won by RICHARD BALINT, which consists of the work PORTRAIT OF EUGENE IONESCO, offered by the plastic artist Vasile Nașcu.
Our happiness doesn't stop there, however. The enthusiasm and incessant applause of the spectators resulted in two awards given by the public: for best actor, which belongs to him Richard Balint for the role of "Valerio" in the show "Leonce and Lena" and for best set designer, which belongs to him Adrian Damian, for the same show.
The Regina Maria Theater, in addition to the honor of having a portrait dedicated to it at the "Atelier" International Theater Festival, in which it participated with two shows: "Leonce and Lena" and "Barca", also enjoyed the appreciation of theater people and the audience, being awarded three of the six prizes awarded by the jury and winning the love of all those who crossed the threshold of the theater and enjoyed the Show.
Our congratulations go to both the award winners and everyone who made the magic of the stage possible, from the actors to the backstage team!
